  • My background

    My background

I am Hindu Brahmin born in a family of devout Vaidik Hindu Priests (Maharaj) including my father Shri Rameshbhai Acharya and uncle Shri Balkrishna Shukla.

I have studied Sanskrit (ancient Vedic language) since childhood and received spiritual knowledge after rigorous practice from a Gurukul situated in Siddhpura, North Gujarat, India.

Upon arriving in England in 1999 I have conducted many ceremonies and rituals including Weddings, Engagement ceremony, Child’s naming ceremony, Mundan Sanskar, Janoi/Upnayana Sanskar, Various kinds of Homam(Havan), Shri Santya Narayan Katha etc.

I have also been on a journey of self-learning and personal growth to improve my understanding of the Vedic Shodas (16) Sanskars (rites) plus other ceremonies.

  • My beliefs

    My beliefs

I fully believe in our ancient Vaidik Sanatan Dharma (Hinduism), literally meaning ‘the eternal law’. Principles and values such as honesty, refraining from injuring living beings, mercy, purity, patience, self-restraint and generosity are the basic foundations on which I have tried to mould my life.

I believe the primary purpose of conducting religious ceremony is to promote social harmony, brotherhood and love for one another.

The intended output is to instil good values and plant seeds of self-improvement and introspection.

  • Why perform a ceremony

    Why perform a ceremony

Every major religion in the world performs some ritual to celebrate and mark the various stages of the human life. The most profound and insightful are those conceived by Hinduism.

According to Hinduism there are 16 (shodas) religious rites to be performed by every Hindu at a particular stage in their life, to make life noble and prosperous.

Each Sanskar (religious rite) signifies entry to that particular stage of life.
